It incorporates a macerating system which can handle human waste and toilet paper in residential applications. The blade is made out of a hardened stainless steel material which eliminates the need for any service or replacement. The Saniaccess 3 is simplicity itself to install; there are just four connections. The toilet tank is connected to the water supply. The inside of the unit comprises of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the stainless steel macerator blades and the pump. When the flush is activated, the water flowing into the Saniaccess 3 activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. The moving parts therefore are kept to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter enter the chamber and are reduced to slurry as the macerator blades rotate at RPM. The centrifugal force causes the reduced solids to be ejected through a grill into the container where it is picked up by the impeller pump mounted beneath the motor.
However, as much as we want to think they are just like them, they really aren’t! There are 2 main differences between an RV Toilet and a house type one. The house style toilet will have a large “water reserve” tank attached to the toilet to flush waste away. The house style toilet will also have a “trap” within it’s basic design to trap water within it’s base to keep sewer fumes out and help rinse away waste residue.
OK – so, just how does an RV Toilet system work?

Potty Humor Toilet a-Store About Us Plumbing for a Toilet Putting in the plumbing for a toilet is actually more work than putting in the fixture itself. There are freshwater pipes that will be under pressure to be connected. There are drainpipes that must also be vented and properly sloped.
What does this mean?
But when a toilet threatens to overflow, runs incessantly, or leaks onto the floor, we gain a full appreciation of what it means to have it working properly. This site is a one-stop resource for free, expert advice about toilet repair and care. Many toilet repairs can be surprisingly quick and easy for do-it-yourselfers—and doing your own repairs often makes sense, for a couple of reasons: To handle many basic toilet repairs, you just need a few tools, such as a toilet plunger, pliers, screwdriver, and wrench.
Before you begin, it helps to become familiar with the basic workings of a toilet. The toilet, though not one of the more glamorous of home fixtures, is designed to do a very specific job—to carry away waste and prevent sewer gases from entering the house. And unless something goes wrong with a toilet, it handles its job adroitly.
Toilet Construction As shown in the illustrations at right and above, a toilet has two main parts, both made from vitreous china: Some toilets are cast as a single piece while others are made in two separate parts that are joined together.
Introduction Disconnect the Supply Line After turning off the water at the shutoff, flush the toilet to remove most of the water from the tank and bowl. A little water will be left in the bowl. Use a force-cup plunger to force it down the drain line. Remove the remaining water from the tank with a sponge and a bucket.
Or if you have a lot of sand or grit or have a low pH or “aggressive” water source then parts simply won’t last as long as the ‘average’ length of time.

I never imagined we would use it as frequently as we do. We have a Thetford C4 Cassette Potti in our pop up camper. We have an access door to the tank inside the camper, but many models have access doors located on the outside of the camper. Either way, when you open the access door, this is what you will most likely find. As you fill the fresh water tank with clean water, pay close attention to the glass vial on the side of the tank. You can also use an additive in the flush tank, but we never have.
If you have a drain nozzle on the side of the fill spout, unscrew it and let the water drain into a cup. If you have no drain nozzle, your fill spout may be designed to rotate.
Robert Hooke No portrait survives of Robert Hooke. His name is somewhat obscure today, due in part to the enmity of his famous, influential, and extremely vindictive colleague, Sir Isaac Newton. Yet Hooke was perhaps the single greatest experimental scientist of the seventeenth century. I have a three-tiered closet. No problem reaching the top level once you get the hang of it. It is long enough to reach the highest rung in our closet. Shipping was fast and it was easy to assemble. It seems like you may have to keep tightening it up where the pieces screw together. I will be buying one for my daughters as well as my sister.
There are no telescoping parts or other weak joints. I like that there is a choice of 2 lengths. Helpful in the garage too.
